Prophecy No. 5: Nauvoo House.
Details: Joseph Smith made a revelation on January 19, 1841 at Nauvoo, Illinois that the Nauvoo House was to be built and Joseph Smith and his descendants were to “have place in that house, from generation to generation, forever and ever”.
Facts
1. Joseph Smith was killed on June 27, 1844 and the Smith Family never occupied Nauvoo House.
2. Construction began on this house but was not completed. The unfinished building still stands by the Mississippi River and is owned by the Reorganized Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints.
3. This prophecy failed.
